Our Client, a multinational software company, is looking for someone to join their team as a Revenue Recognition Analyst!
***This is a hybrid 8-month contract position that takes place in Waltham, MA ***
What You Will Be Doing
- Ensure timely, accurate, and smooth coordination of deal reviews and complete deal review packages for won transactions.
- Ensure proper recording of transactions on DS financial statements and prepare/coordinate posting of manual entries required to ensure accurate revenue reporting
- Support NAM sales and sales support teams in structuring complex customer contracts to maximize value by providing revenue recognition modeling and review of proposed contract terms, while ensuring compliance with ASC 606/IFRS 15 requirements.
- Prepare deal review packages and memos summarizing ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue recognition conclusions for customer contracts.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and complete quarter end reporting deliverables associated with complex revenue transactions
- Ensure accurate recording of revenue in 3DS systems for customer contracts reviewed - prepare and post complex journal entries to ensure appropriate revenue recognition for contract term.
Required Skills & Experience
- Expertise in ASC 606/IFRS15 revenue recognition contract reviews
- Deal structuring support for software companies
- CPA license is preferred
- Big 4 audit firm background and/or specific experience working in Revenue Recognition for software companies
- General accounting backgrounds without Revenue Recognition experience will not be sufficient.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance required
