Our client, a major provider/database for medical records, is actively looking for a Records Specialist to join their team in Lansing, MI! This is a fully onsite position, Monday-Friday in the Lansing office, so only local applicants will be considered.
*** This begins as a 3 month contract with an opportunity to extend or convert at any time ***
Responsibilities:
- Records researching, processing, fulfilling, and shipping vital records orders.
- Researching discrepancies
- Contacting customers, answering phones/emails
- Following all compliance and privacy rules
- Reporting issues with processes/systems
- Communicating with on-site management
- Attending and completing all scheduled meetings and trainings
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of office experience
- Experience professionally using Outlook, MS Teams, Excel, etc.
- Ability to work independently and stay focused on given tasks
