We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst I to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, manual and automated testing, and working in both agile and waterfall environments. This role offers the potential to extend beyond the initial contract or transition to a permanent position.

Duration: 6-7 months contract (with potential to extend or convert to Full-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Participate in project meetings to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Prepare detailed test plans and scripts for manual and automated testing.
- Conduct QA testing, evaluate results, identify defects, and provide mitigation strategies.
- Upload appropriate evidence into systems and maintain traceability of requirements through functional tests and defect lists.
- Execute tests, track, and communicate quality risks, issues, and gaps.
- Publish and communicate detailed test metrics and reports to project teams and management.
- Estimate test efforts using appropriate techniques.
- Provide daily status updates and participate in scrum meetings.
- Collaborate closely with team members, seniors, and management in a dynamic environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience.
- 3 years in test coordination, manual, automation, and performance testing tools (HP Suite or Microsoft Test Manager/Team Foundation Server).
- Hands-on experience with HP Quality Center/ALM.
- Solid knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC) in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong team player, adaptable, and responsive to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to clearly articulate testing processes, risks, and status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with HP Quality Center/ALM and Team Foundation Server — Must
- Familiarity with functional test automation tools like HP QTP and Selenium — Desired
- Agile methodology experience — Must
- Experience in a Windows environment — Must
- Experience testing web-based and client-server applications — Must
- Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts and writing SQL queries for database testing — Must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Nice to Have:
- Experience in the Energy or Financial industry sectors.
Salary : $35 - $40
