Procurement Associate

Our client, a leader in aerospace & defense is looking to hire a Procurement Associate. This role will be fully onsite in Savannah, GA.

*This job is a 6-month W2 contract role with benefits!*

As a Procurement Associate, you will support supply chain operations by ensuring timely procurement of goods and services, maintaining vendor relationships and assisting with production and inventory planning.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support procurement and master production scheduling, carrying out activities related to purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms in the organization’s best interest
• Source and onboard suppliers as needed, solicit quotes, issue purchase orders, and manage end-to-end procurement activities in compliance with company policies and procedures
• Compile relevant data to support decision-making and tracking of KPIs
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, purchasing, sales, logistics, and finance to address any supply chain issues, as well as maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders
• Coordinate material requirements, ensuring a controlled flow of materials and timed schedules to meet production requirements and mitigate shortages

Required Skills & Experience

• 2 years of experience as a Buyer, Purchaser, Planner, and/or Expediter
• 1 years of experience using MS Office, with proficiency in Excel
• Ability to interpret engineering print & product specifications of components and materials
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain, materials management, Business Administration or related field; without degree, 4 years of experience preferred
• Prior experience in manufacturing environment strongly preferred!
