Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related discipline
- 5–8 years of professional experience in robotics, automation, or industrial equipment development
- Proven experience designing electro-mechanical systems from concept through production release
- Strong expertise in actuator, motor, transmission, and sensor selection and integration
- Experience working with encoders, load cells, proximity sensors, and other industrial sensing technologies
- Expertise in system dynamics, simulation, modeling, and vibration analysis
- Experience performing finite element analysis (FEA) for mechanical system validation
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and mechanical CAD design tools
- Experience creating engineering drawings and documentation compliant with ASME Y14.5 standards
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience designing industrial tooling, fixtures, or automation equipment
- Experience developing free body diagrams and governing equations for electro-mechanical systems
- Experience performing static and dynamic load calculations
- Experience conducting kinematic and motion analysis
- Experience working with industrial controls and automation systems
- Experience establishing engineering documentation processes, BOM structures, CAD vaults, and part numbering systems
- MATLAB and/or Python programming experience
