Principal Backend Engineer/ RAG, Agentic AI, LLMs

A cyber security startup is looking to add a Principal BE Engineer to their team. In this role, you'll be working on developing backend systems and data infrastructure, creating solutions while mentoring engineers across the organization. A big component for this role is writing code for cybersecurity data processing and AI agents.

The company is at the crossroads of cyber security and agentic AI, which are two of the hottest industries within technology right now. The role itself has a ton of autonomy and you'll be making decisions that will have a massive impact in the bottom line of the organization as a whole.

Required Skills & Experience

• Ability to architect and implement backend systems
• Experience maturing startup teams
• Strong experience in Python
• Deep expertise in database systems (Postgres and distributed database systems)
• Hands-on experience with data pipelining technologies
• Deep experience with Vector databases/graph databases
• Experience with ML infrastructure and LLM serving architectures

• Understanding of time series databases
