Our client, a leader in gas and utility services, is hiring an Operations Coordinator to join their team in Merrillville, IN!
**This is a 9-month W2 contract with benefits**
As the Operations Coordinator, you will provide clerical and administrative support to the Gas Work Management Organization while ensuring efficient communication, accurate work preparation, and high-quality customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Support permit processes including application, receipt, distribution, communication, and execution
- Coordinate One Call processes and manage site readiness activities
- Create, update, and execute WMS/DIS order types while maintaining accurate documentation
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) to prepare correspondence and support daily operations
- Provide high-quality customer service and support customer complaint resolution processes
- Assist with office administration while contributing to team collaboration and process improvements
Desired Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with WMS, CIS, Teams, and Outlook preferred
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures is a plus
- Basic understanding of the utility industry preferred
