.NET Software Engineer II (C# / Azure)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on .NET Software Engineer II to join a growing engineering team focused on application development, cloud solutions, and modern software delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong C#/.NET development skills, practical Microsoft Azure experience, and the ability to contribute to systems design and architecture discussions. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to build scalable applications, improve deployment automation, and adopt modern development practices, including AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Interviews will have a coding assessment, a virtual interview and a final FTF interview. Client prefers local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using C# and .NET.
• Participate in systems design and architecture discussions, evaluating solutions for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Build, deploy, and support applications in Microsoft Azure cloud environments.
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve application performance.
• Collaborate with architects, engineering leaders, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Explain technical decisions, system design approaches, and individual contributions to development projects.
• Apply software engineering best practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
• Practical Microsoft Azure experience, including cloud-based application deployment.
• Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to participate in systems design discussions and explain technical trade-offs.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to discuss technical solutions with architects and engineering leadership.
• Experience working collaboratively in an Agile development environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Azure services, cloud infrastructure, and cloud-based application deployment.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of API development, database design, and performance optimization.
• Experience with application monitoring, reliability, and root cause analysis.
• Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.
• Java experience is a plus.

Required Skills

• A hands-on .NET developer who can demonstrate strong coding proficiency, practical cloud deployment experience, and sound systems design thinking.
• Candidates must be able to clearly articulate their technical experience, individual contributions, and design decisions.
