What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Category Manager position at Motion Recruitment?
Our client, a well-known robotics manufacturer, is actively hiring a Global Category Manager in Bedford, MA! This role will be remote, but you may need to come on-site occasionally.
*This is a 6 month W2 contract with benefits offered!*
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing global category strategies for IT, R&D, and digital spend while aligning with business and financial objectives. You will be leading end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including demand assessment, market analysis, RFP/RFQ execution, negotiations, and contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and deliver cost savings, cost avoidance, and value improvement opportunities
- Review and negotiate key commercial terms, including pricing, payment terms, payment frequency, SLAs, and termination clauses
- Prepare sourcing recommendations and obtain required internal approvals
Skills:
- Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred
- 5 years of indirect procurement/sourcing experience
- ISM Certified or related certification is a plus
- Experience partnering with legal and finance on contract and approval processes
