About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Domain Managing Architect with strong Insurance industry expertise for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Plano, TX (Hybrid). This role requires a senior-level Enterprise Architect with proven Solution Architecture capabilities, strong Cloud experience (AWS preferred), and a foundational understanding of AI and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate is passionate about IT innovation and will play a key role in advancing architectural discipline, frameworks, and best practices within the insurance domain.

Key Requirements

• Insurance industry experience (mandatory)
• Enterprise Architecture & Solution Architecture expertise
• Cloud Architecture & design experience (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable)
• Experience working within Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
• 6–9 years of experience in Enterprise & Solution Architecture
• Strong cloud knowledge (AWS / Azure)
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives
• Strong technical writing, risk management, and executive-level communication skills
• In-depth knowledge of SDLC, project management, and software development practices
• Broad technical knowledge across:
• Application development
• Data & integration platforms
• Infrastructure, networking, and security
• Expert in architectural diagramming tools (Visio, draw.io)
• Proven leadership across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

Architecture & Design

• Create and maintain architectural and solution design artifacts
• Lead and guide architects and technical leads in aligning solutions to enterprise standards
• Define reusable patterns, integration services, and enterprise building blocks
• Drive continuous improvement and maturity of the Architecture discipline

Solutions & Delivery

• Ensure solutions align with enterprise and industry best practices
• Partner with business, application, data, infrastructure, integration, and security teams
• Guide programs and projects toward enterprise-compliant solutions

Leadership & Advisory

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to IT and business leadership
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language
• Bring cross-functional teams to consensus on architectural decisions

Governance & Support

• Contribute to roadmap planning, budgeting, and program implementation
• Guide evaluation and selection of enterprise technology solutions
• Identify and promote new enterprise architectural patterns and capabilities
