Ou client, a global broadcast media and entertainment company, is actively looking for a Broadcast Technician to join their team in Centennial, CO! This role is fully onsite so local candidates are required.
***This role is a 6 month initial contract with the opportunity to extend or convert for 4 10 hour shifts throughout the week. There are morning, swing, and overnight shifts available and candidates must be flexible with what hours they're open to in case additional coverage is needed.***
Responsibilities
- Support current on-air operations team during the division’s major systems migration in 2026. (This support would include, but not limited to, programming quality control, commercial rehearsals, event preparation, shadowing on-air programming, monitoring on-air programming, and break support for other MCO’s.)
- Maintain and manipulate on-air playlists, execute program/commercial/marketing changes, and support live-event and contingency workflows using cutting-edge software like SNELL Morpheus and Amagi.
- Take ownership of commercial integration, ensuring flawless rolling of commercial breaks during both taped and live programming.
- Contributing to the team which collectively monitors and maintains 150 channel streams, ensuring continuous availability and identifying any inconsistencies with keen attention to detail.
- Guarantee the continuity of programming by meticulously confirming the readiness of every piece of material for on-air playout.
- Act as the last line of defense for internal clients and stations, swiftly responding to any on-air discrepancies with situational awareness and quick decision-making skills.
- Protect our airwaves by meticulously simulating the viewer experience, constantly checking for proper audio, video, captioning, and picture quality.
Required Skills & Experience
- A High School Diploma and relevant certification or Associate's Degree in Media or Communications, or equivalent professional experience in broadcast, digital, or post production role.
- A solid understanding of television production, broadcast operations, and/or news/sports/entertainment technical production requirements.
- Must be willing and available if needed to work other shifts including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of a 24x7/365 operation, with possibility of schedule changes based on business needs and priorities.
- Fluency or proficiency in Spanish is a big plus (but not required).
