Our Client is a global leader in the petrochemical industry, contributing to innovative solutions and operational excellence. Seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop, write, and edit technical training materials, manuals, and operating procedures that support safe and effective operations across our petrochemical and refinery sites. This role will partner closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), production staff, and engineering teams to transform complex technical information into clear, concise, and effective training content.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with SMEs and production/engineering personnel to gather information and create training materials.
- Research and review manufacturer’s manuals, P&IDs, PFDs, drawings, and specifications to integrate into operating procedures and training.
- Write, edit, and organize technical content according to company standards for clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
- Use Microsoft templates, Visio drawings, and graphics tools to create visual aids including diagrams, charts, and illustrations.
- Review and recommend revisions to published materials for improved accuracy, scope, and format.
- Maintain detailed records and files of all revisions and published content.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of petrochemical/refinery experience.
- 6–8 years of proven technical writing experience.
- Sample writing in manufacturing (pumps, valves, reactors, stack columns, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Visio Technical, photo/image editing applications, and Documentum
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter while maintaining integrity and attention to detail.
