A large financial services company in Chandler, Arizona is looking for a Google Cloud Platform DevOps Engineer to help strengthen and automate its cloud platform. This position will focus on supporting scalable application environments across Google Cloud, Kubernetes, container systems, and Linux infrastructure.
The engineer will help improve deployment processes, automate infrastructure changes, support production stability, and maintain cloud services used by critical business applications. You'll work closely with software, QA, and infrastructure teams to improve reliability, reduce manual work, and support efficient application delivery.

Required Skills & Experience
- Professional experience working in Google Cloud Platform environments
- Strong experience with Google Kubernetes Engine
- Knowledge of Kubernetes administration and container management
- Experience managing Docker Swarm environments
- Strong background supporting Linux operating systems
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD automation
- Familiarity with tools such as GitHub Actions and GitLab CI
- Understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure concepts
- Strong debugging and issue-resolution skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related area, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience using Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices
- Ability to automate operational tasks using Python
- Experience connecting systems through REST APIs
- Familiarity with OpenShift and OpenShift Container Storage
- Experience supporting PostgreSQL databases
- Experience maintaining Elasticsearch environments
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within cross-functional teams
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Support and scale cloud applications hosted within Google Cloud Platform and GKE
- Maintain Kubernetes clusters and Docker Swarm environments
- Administer and secure Linux-based infrastructure
- Create and enhance automated deployment pipelines
- Provision infrastructure and manage configuration through automation
- Develop Python-based tools for operational and infrastructure tasks
- Integrate cloud and internal services through APIs
- Partner with application development, testing, and operations teams
- Investigate and resolve performance and infrastructure issues
- Support PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch platforms
- Improve uptime, platform resilience, and deployment consistency
- Maintain technical documentation for infrastructure and operating standards
