Content Strategist

Chapman University and UCI students preferred due to location.

This role operates across both Motion Marketing and Motion Records.

Motion Marketing is a performance marketing agency serving startups, SaaS companies, real estate firms, law firms, and local service businesses -- building integrated systems across media buying, brand strategy, content, social media, and SEO.

Motion Records is a brand accelerator for creators -- building artists and influencers into market-ready brands through identity development, content strategy, and the operational infrastructure to scale.

✍️ What You'll Do

• Receive content from the founder and script or repurpose it to align with Motion's content goals -- providing value, education, and content that converts

• Conduct independent market research and ideation to drive content strategy

• Analyze what performs in our niches and bring informed creative direction to the table

• Apply your personal understanding of social media to new markets quickly

• Develop thumbnails and simple brand graphics to support content (a bonus, not a requirement)

• Collaborate directly with the founder on creative direction and priorities

✅ You're a Fit If You

• Understand the psychology of attention - what earns the next three seconds, and the three after that

• Know how to position content to provide value, pinpoint pain points, and move an audience toward action

• Can take direction and then operate independently without needing to be managed

• Are a fast learner who can absorb a new niche and produce informed content strategy quickly

• Have genuine curiosity about markets, consumer behavior, and what makes people engage

This internship is unpaid, but performance opens the door to bonuses, commission, and a full-time role for those who operate at the standard we expect.
