Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Hydro-Jet Technician to operate a 23,000 PSI industrial waterjet system used to clean both horizontal and vertical asphalt cement tanks, asphalt silos, piping, and related equipment at asphalt plants nationwide. This role requires extensive mechanical knowledge, with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in operating industrial equipment. Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-pressure waterjet equipment (up to 23,000 PSI) for industrial cleaning of asphalt plant equipment.
- Lead and supervise hydro-jet operations ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Perform OSHA-compliant confined-space entry.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on waterjet systems and associated machinery.
- Lead onsite crews, coordinate with plant managers, and ensure safe operations.
- Transport equipment nationwide and maintain service vehicles.
- Oversee equipment repair activities utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools.
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial environments with mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery, power tools, hand tools, and fabrication techniques.
- Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
- Experience with high-pressure waterjet systems preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise technical teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration across field teams.
