At Precision Pump & Valve (PPV), our Outside Sales Representatives aren't just selling valves they're the first call a refinery engineer or plant manager makes when process-critical equipment needs to be right, fast. Based out of our Pasadena, TX facility you'll represent our full lineup of safety relief valves, control valves, isolation valves, process instrumentation, and filtration solutions to customers across oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, and chemical processing.

What You'll Do

Build & Own Your Territory

  • Prospect and develop new accounts across oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, and chemical processing customers in the Gulf Coast region.
  • Maintain and grow a healthy book of existing business through consistent relationship-building, account reviews, and proactive problem-solving.
  • Establish and leverage industry contacts including EPC firms, plant maintenance, and turnaround teams to generate and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to represent PPV and build pipeline.

Sell Solutions, Not Just Products

  • Introduce customers to PPV's full flow control offering safety relief valves, control valves, isolation valves, process instrumentation, and filtration solutions through a consultative, value-added sales approach.
  • Prepare and develop accurate, competitive quotes; negotiate and close transactions on both standard and project business.
  • Serve as the liaison between the manufacturers and brands PPV represents and the end-user customer.
  • Align the right solutions to each customer's operational needs, resource constraints, and project timelines.

Drive Performance & Accountability

  • Record all account activity, contacts, opportunities, and sales progress in CRM daily keeping your pipeline accurate and actionable.
  • Collect and analyze account performance data to identify revenue growth opportunities and course-correct where needed.
  • Develop and execute territory strategies and tactics based on customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market conditions.
  • Travel as required within the territory, including occasional overnight stays.
Qualifications:

What We're Looking For

Must Have:

  • 5–7 years of outside sales and account management experience, preferably in the process industry.
  • Technical background in relief valves, control valves, isolation valves, and/or process instrumentation you can have a credible technical conversation with a process engineer.
  • Experience selling oil & gas, petrochemical, refining, or chemical processing markets.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset self-motivated, self-accountable, and comfortable owning a territory with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; sound judgment and absolute professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with CRM and ERP systems.
  • Valid driver's license; ability to travel within territory, including overnight stays as needed.

Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of the MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations) industry and process plant turnaround cycles.
  • Familiarity with VR-certified valve repair and remanufacturing services.
  • Established relationships with refineries, petrochemical plants, or EPCs along the Gulf Coast particularly in the Houston/Pasadena area.
  • Experience with filtration products and solutions.
