Overview
We are seeking Manufacturing Engineering Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting manufacturing processes, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest quality standards. This is a hands-on position and will be supporting all new product introductions, equipment installations, run-and-rate events, and early production activities. This role ensures that new equipment, tooling, and processes are properly installed, validated, and optimized prior to handover to serial production. The technician also provides troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and process improvements in an automotive environment involving plastic injection molding, assembly, and paint operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Installation & Setup
- Install all new machinery and equipment, including uncrating, positioning, leveling, anchoring, and fully connecting utilities (electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and network).
- Perform machine checks and run-ups according to OEM documentation and plant safety standards.
- Relocate service equipment as needed, including de-installation and re-installation.
Pre-Series / Launch Support
- Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) activities on all new equipment during launch phases.
- Maintain accurate inventory of pre-series spare parts and request replenishment as needed.
- Support pre-series part runs, trials, capability studies, and events.
- Test and validate red rabbit samples at required intervals to ensure detection systems remain effective during engineering changes or part revisions.
- Build, assemble, or modify carts, tables, racks, trays, or other launch-related hardware.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform reactive maintenance on new equipment until handover to serial production.
- Ensure all new equipment remains clean, fully operational, and compliant with safety standards.
- Support optimization of equipment settings, parameters, and processes to ensure robust launch readiness.
- Assist with de-assembly or removal of obsolete or unneeded equipment.
Training & Collaboration
- Train Maintenance Technicians on PM requirements, equipment operation, and new technologies introduced with the launch.
- Provide support for operator training on new equipment or process changes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Tooling, and Launch teams to ensure smooth integration of new products into manufacturing.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain organized, clean work areas in accordance with 5S standards.
- Document work performed and update maintenance systems as required.
- Support other Maintenance Technicians when launch work is not available.
- Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical trade school or industrial maintenance training preferred.
- 3 years of maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing or plastic injection molding environment preferred.
- Experience with equipment installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.

Technical Skills
- Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read schematics, machine manuals, and technical diagrams.
- Experience with PLC, Cameras, Sensors, POKA-YOKE, Ligh Curtains etc.
- Experience with injection molding, assembly lines, robotics, and automated systems.
Soft Skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, climb, and work in confined areas as needed.
