What You’ll Do
- Clean, sanitize, and organize dishes, silverware, glassware, and cooking utensils using manual and machine methods
- Maintain proper water temperatures and ensure compliance with health code standards
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
- Organize storage areas and maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
- Track breakage and report equipment losses
- Keep the dishwashing area, including floors, counters, and walls, clean and safe
- Remove waste and empty bus tubs promptly
- Stock and rotate produce in kitchen walk-in and dry goods storage areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen storage and walk-in cooler
- Ensure a safe work environment by removing debris and hazards
- Assist in training new dishwashers when needed
- Collaborate productively and respectfully with team members
- Empty trash and transfer it to dumpsters
- Support deliveries by stacking cases weighing up to 70 pounds and breaking down produce pallets
Experience & Skills:
- No prior experience required this is an entry-level position
- Willingness to learn cleaning and sanitation procedures
- Basic understanding of health and safety standards preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with supervisors and co-workers
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly workspace
- Stand and perform repetitive motions for up to 8 hours
- Lift, push, and carry equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds regularly
- Lift and stack cases up to 70 pounds during deliveries and stock rotation
- Bend, stoop, kneel, and reach overhead as needed
- Work indoors and outdoors in various temperature and weather conditions
- Follow all health code requirements diligently
- Must be available to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
