Cashier

As a Cashier, you’ll be the face of our store providing fast, friendly, and accurate checkout experiences while helping customers find what they need. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys customer interaction, values teamwork, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Hourly Pay: $16.50 – $19.80

What You will Do

• Greet every customer with a warm and welcoming attitude
• Accurately ring up purchases using computerized registers
• Bag groceries with care, keeping customer preferences in mind
• Memorize product codes for produce and bulk items
• Keep your station clean, organized, and stocked throughout your shift
• Assist with store upkeep when not checking out customers (cleaning, stocking, facing shelves)
• Help customers locate products and answer questions
• Take and follow up on special orders with department managers
• Ensure price accuracy and report discrepancies on shelf tags
• Support overall store safety, cleanliness, and merchandising standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Lead Cashier

What You Bring

Experience & Skills:
• Previous customer service experience (cashiering is a plus)
• Basic math skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable using computerized register systems
• Clear communication skills in English (verbal and written)

Customer Focus & Abilities:
• Friendly, dependable, and approachable attitude
• Able to multitask and stay accurate in a busy environment
• Willing to jump in and support your team wherever needed
• Eager to learn product knowledge and assist customers confidently

Physical Requirements

• Stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Frequent use of touchscreen registers and scanners
• Push/pull products across the scanner and handle cash
• Lift up to 50 lbs., bend, squat, reach overhead, and climb ladders
• Answer phones and engage with customers face-to-face

Schedule Requirements

• Flexible availability including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
