Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aide to provide essential support to individuals in their homes on an on-call basis. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those receiving care, particularly for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This position does require an active NAR-G, HCA, or NAC certification.

Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Help with meal preparation and nutrition management, ensuring dietary needs are met.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments or social activities.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or care manager.
- Uphold resident rights and ensure confidentiality in all interactions.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills:
- Previous experience in caregiving, assisted living, hospice care, or memory care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is beneficial.
- Understanding of resident rights and the ability to advocate for clients' needs.
- A background in nursing home settings or related healthcare fields is a plus but not mandatory.
