The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Quality Assurance team at our Fort Worth plant. As a member of both our quality leadership and plant management teams, your mandate is to oversee the day-to-day quality-operations. You will ensure that Quality systems are monitored and followed, supervise the production shift of Quality Assurance technicians, and act as the back up to the QA Manager in their absence.
What you get to do:
- Provide supervision to the hourly production shift of QA Technicians which includes planning work, training, skills development and conducting performance reviews.
- Lead continuous improvement of the day-to-day documentation compliance and ensure the quality of operation documentation.
- Investigate and follow-up on non-compliance and product defects.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of low to medium quality incidents, product holds, customer & consumer complaints.
- Conduct daily GMP audits and follow up on results.
- Conduct traceability exercises, update quality SOP’s, and support product qualifications.
- Supervise the sanitation crew.
- Initiate and take appropriate action to ensure the integrity of the SQF code.
- Supports and periodically lead third party audits and inspections, customer-quality visits and internal quality audits.
What you bring to the role:
- 4 years of quality assurance experience in a food & beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Degree or Diploma in a Sciences or Industrial Engineering discipline.
- Experienced in a recognized GFSI scheme.
- Full understanding of GMP’s, Product Safety & Security.
- Have a working knowledge of SPC (Statistical Process Control) applications and implementation.
- An understanding of laboratory analytical equipment.
- Project Management skills.
- Capable of making judgement, risk and business decisions.
- Ability to plan, organize and direct work.
- Ability to work well in multifunctional team environment.
