We’re looking for a dedicated Cultivation Technician to join our growing team and support daily plant care in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Position Summary
The Cultivation Technician is responsible for executing day-to-day plant care activities across all stages of growth. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow SOPs, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and compliant cultivation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plant Care & Cultivation Tasks
- Perform daily tasks including pruning, trellising, defoliation, transplanting, topping, pot prep, and harvest operations.
- Mix and apply Athena nutrient solutions according to established recipes and schedules.
- Monitor plants in coco coir media for moisture, health, and nutrient uptake.
- Maintain proper environmental conditions under LED lighting and multi-tier rack setups.
- Assist with IPM practices including scout checks and documentation.
- Facility & Equipment Maintenance
- Clean and sanitize workspaces, tools, and cultivation areas following strict SOPs.
- Assist with irrigation system checks, reservoir cleaning, and equipment upkeep.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in multi-level grow rooms.
- Cut, transfer, weigh, break-down, and trim plants for harvest
- Remove plants from drying room and process or pack into bins for curing awaiting final processing while maintaining batch separation between varieties
- Clean drying racks, drying room, general preparation area in order to prepare for incoming fresh material
- Remove stems, trim dried flower for up to 7 hours daily
- Remove Stems, grind dry flower in commercial grinder for pre-roll preperation
- Pack products for retail sale or prepare “pre-roll” products for packaging
- Ensure quality control standards are met including signs of pathogens or the presence of seeds and report issues to the supervising manager
- Maintain a high degree of order and cleanliness in the working areas of the cultivation facility; including laundry and trash removal.
- Verify labeling and track all products through proper use of inventory control systems (TRYM and METRC)
- Assist in packaging product for final cure
- Help prepare product for testing
Compliance & Documentation
- Record data accurately (plant metrics, tasks completed, inventory movements).
- Follow all state cannabis regulations and company SOPs.
- Participate in audits and compliance checks as needed.
Qualifications
- 1 year of cannabis cultivation or horticultural experience preferred.
- Knowledge of coco coir growing systems and nutrient programs (Athena experience a plus).
- Ability to work in humid, warm environments and lift 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights on multi-tier platforms and ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to SOPs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a positive attitude.
- Must meet all state requirements for employment in the cannabis industry (age, background checks, etc.).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
