Location: 244 Short Coxe Avenue, Asheville, NC
Schedule: Saturday - Monday Mornings 5:00 am, plus options to pick up shifts
Compensation: Tipped position averaging $26-28 per hour

The Role
We’re looking for a morning bread mixer to join our small and dynamic bakery team. The shift begins at 5 am and typically lasts until 1-3 pm, running longer during busy months. The mixer will be responsible for our sourdough hand mix. We use organic nc flour and ferment bread overnight, for the baker to bake in the morning. We have a small kitchen, working closely alongside our savory kitchen team, so it is imperative to keep a clean space, share with teammates, and maintain a collaborative attitude. We supply bread to many quality wholesale accounts around town, our own service team, and our retail bread program.

A team player with an understanding of sourdough methods
Willingness to learn our ways, and provide your own expertise once trained
Experience in a commercial bakery setting required
A desire to grow within a creative, intentional workplace
