Housekeeper

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and a welcoming environment for our guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning and custodial services, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency. Previous hotel, hospitality, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience is highly valued. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our organization prides itself on.

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing as needed
• Restock supplies such as toiletries, linens, and cleaning products to ensure rooms are fully prepared for guests
• Follow established cleaning procedures to ensure health and safety standards are met or exceeded
• Report maintenance issues or damages to management promptly
• Adhere to all safety protocols related to industrial cleaning and janitorial practices
• Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services; hotel or hospitality experience is a plus
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, and polishing floors
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within scheduled shifts
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and walking throughout large facilities
• Prior experience in housekeeping management is advantageous but not required
