Job Summary
We are seeking dependable and hardworking Housekeepers to join our team. Housekeepers are responsible for ensuring guest rooms, public areas, and assigned work areas are cleaned and maintained to Motel 6 brand standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and committed to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel standards.
- Make beds and replace linens and towels.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, showers, tubs, mirrors, and fixtures.
- Dust and wipe furniture, countertops, windowsills, and other surfaces.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Replenish guest room supplies and amenities.
- Remove trash and transport soiled linens to designated laundry areas.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to management.
- Clean assigned public areas, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and offices as needed.
- Follow all safety, chemical handling, and infection-control procedures.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the hotel.
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests when encountered.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, custodial, or hotel cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
