Responsibilities
- Operate POS system to process transactions accurately
- Greet customers and provide assistance as needed
- Handle cash, credit, and check transactions with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
- Monitor and manage the checkout line to ensure efficiency
- Upsell products or promotions to customers
- Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred
- Proficiency in retail math for cash handling
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Supervisory experience is desirable but not required
