Homeschool Activities Assistant
Job Summary
Mossflower Wildschool is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Homeschool Activities Assistant to support engaging educational experiences for our diverse group of homeschooled students. This role involves working closely with students to facilitate fun, interactive activities during our weekly co-op meetings. The ideal candidate will bring a playful, enthusiastic approach to learning as they implement group activities and games tailored to a wide range of ages and abilities, fostering a positive and stimulating educational atmosphere.
Duties
- Work directly with students to play games, interact with each and every student, and support their engagement in learning activities.
- Organize and lead fun, age-appropriate games and activities designed to make learning enjoyable.
- Adapt activities to accommodate students of different ages and abilities, ensuring inclusive participation.
- Assist in managing classroom or activity spaces to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
- Support the overall educational goals by encouraging student participation and enthusiasm.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children or students in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage children across various age groups.
- Creativity in inventing engaging activities and games suited for diverse learners.
- Ability to work independently and lead the group as a substitute teacher when needed, particularly during the month of November 2026.
- Enthusiasm for fostering a positive learning environment through interactive play and activities.
Schedule:
- Wednesdays 11am-2pm (E Fayetteville)
- Fridays 12pm-2pm (Farmington)
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 per week
