This role plays a critical strategic function by ensuring the organization’s technology needs are met through effective vendor selection, contract negotiation, and risk management.

The position focuses on securing optimal pricing, favorable contractual terms, and strong service level agreements while delivering measurable cost savings and cost avoidance across the IT portfolio. Working closely with IT, Finance, and Legal stakeholders, the IT Procurement Specialist aligns procurement strategies with technical roadmaps, budgetary goals, and governance standards. The role requires deep expertise in SaaS licensing, enterprise agreements, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity solutions, and asset lifecycle

management.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for IT assets, including hardware, software, cloud services, and telecommunications, to ensure the organization has the necessary technology to operate efficiently.
  • Lead vendor selection and relationship management by evaluating proposals, conducting market research, and performing due diligence to mitigate supplier risk and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and legal compliance while driving significant cost savings and cost avoidance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and Legal departments to align procurement strategies with technical requirements, budgetary constraints, and corporate governance standards.
  • Monitor and optimize IT spend through detailed data analysis, tracking software license compliance, and managing timely renewals to prevent service interruptions and financial waste.
  • Execute the full IT procurement cycle, from initial requirement gathering and market research to final contract execution and vendor onboarding.
  • Negotiate pricing, licensing terms, and service level agreements with global and local IT vendors to maximize value and minimize organizational risk.
  • Manage the software renewal calendar, ensuring all subscriptions and maintenance agreements are reviewed, optimized, and renewed without service disruption.
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and risk assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and contractual obligations.
  • Analyze IT spend data to identify trends, consolidate suppliers, and implement cost-saving initiatives across the technology stack.
  • Partner with IT leadership to understand roadmap requirements and ensure procurement activities support long-term technical goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all IT contracts, assets, and licenses within the company’s procurement or ERP systems.

Education And Work Experience
