Safety Manager
Position Summary
The Safety Manager leads Moss Utilities’ safety operations, overseeing field safety personnel, developing strategies to enhance our 'Safety Always' culture, and ensuring full compliance with all applicable safety standards. This individual plays a critical leadership role in protecting our people and strengthening the company’s safety performance across all projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the Safety team (Advisors and Coordinators).
- Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct jobsite visits to evaluate safety performance and compliance.
- Oversee incident investigations, reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Partner with operations leadership to align safety with production goals.
- Manage company-wide training initiatives, certifications, and recordkeeping.
- Track and report KPIs to leadership; recommend continuous improvements.
- Serve as company representative for OSHA or regulatory audits.
Qualifications
- 5 years of construction safety experience with at least 3 in a leadership role.
- CHST, CSP, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, excavation, and utility construction safety.
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence safety culture.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
