We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) to join our team! Moss Therapy and Wellness, PLLC is seeking an energetic Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA). The LCMHCA license is a restricted license, which allows individuals to gain clinical mental health counseling experience while under the supervision of qualified mental health professional. This license is the pre-requisite for the LCMHC license for new graduates and/or new counseling professionals. LCMHCAs CAN NOT work unless an approved supervision contract is on file with the Board Office. LCMHCA license numbers start with an “A”, for example A0000. LCMHCAs must complete all licensure requirements before a license can be issued.Responsibilities:
- Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
- Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues
- Provide prevention-oriented therapy
- Implement and review treatment plans
- Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies
- Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
- Familiarity with community mental health resources
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to build rapport with clients
- Strong leadership qualities
