Farmworker

Hours will vary by season and crop conditions. This is a secondary agricultural application. It provides ground support for a agricultural aerial application business. Duties will include, fuel the plane by connecting and disconnecting fuel hose to and from the airplane. Mix chemicals. Read and understand a load ticket. Load the plane with chemicals by connecting and disconnecting load hose to and from the plane. Clean all equipment daily. Mow airstrips. Clean aircraft. Maintain general awareness of inventory levels and fuel levels for loader. Maintains cleanliness in hanger/loadout areas. Reliable and regular attendance is expected. Very early mornings are often required. Other skills that will help you suceed is customer service orientation and the ability to work under pressure. The work environment and physical aspects of the job include that safety is the highest priority. We seek out extensie safety measures and put them in place to minimize exporsure to anything that could be potentially harmful to our employees. The work environment for this position may require the employee to work in an outdoor setting in all types of weather conditions with exposure to outdoor elements. When working outdoors and possibly around moving equipment and mechanical parts, the employee may be exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The position requires you to use your hands for many different tasks and to talk, hear, walk, stand and sit. You may be required to lift and move 50 lbs. Ground maintenance with lawn mowers, weed eaters and hand tools including but not limited to hoe, shovel, rake and pick ax will be expected. Perform general maintenance and servicing on equipment. The employer will at his discretion pay additional hourly wages based on years of experience and job performance.
