SUMMARY
The Public Area Housekeeper maintains overall cleanliness of the community’s public space by cleaning all assigned areas thoroughly on a daily basis.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms, tile areas, countertops, mirrors, and floors in the Clubhouse, Tennis Center, Fitness Center, pool areas, Golf Pro Shop, Facilities Management, Water Oak, Bostwick and Administration Building
- Maintains a positive rapport with members, coworkers, and managers
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
- Restock all paper towel dispensers, tissue boxes, soap and lotion dispensers, and toilet tissue rolls
- Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas using wheeled cart, if needed.
- Ensures that all supplies are in order and at par level
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors, using brooms, mops, and/or powered scrubbing and waxing machines
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Keep storage areas well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
- Remove debris from driveways and swimming pool areas
- Wash windows, walls, and woodwork as necessary
- Report to supervisor any repair services noticed; as necessary
- Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides as necessary
- Dust window blinds
- Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts
- Other job-related duties as assigned

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The Housekeeper must have strong attention to detail. S/he must be able to clean and sanitize areas and work rapidly during rush periods.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position. 3-5 years of cleaning experience are preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
The Housekeeper should have good communication skills and the ability to give clear directions.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Minimal computer skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Minimal mathematical skills are required.
REASONING ABILITY
The Housekeeper should have the ability to solve problems with minimal assistance.
