SUMMARY
The busser assists the server in providing excellent service to members and guests. S/he is to be prompt for work and dressed appropriately with a clean and pressed uniform with name tag. Full Time and Part Time available
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists servers in set up, service, and clean up tasks for regular and banquet service
- Sets tables with silverware, glassware, and other items
- Serves water as guests are seated and replenishes to maintain full level
- Assists in carrying food trays to tables
- Removes soiled dishes from tables and takes to dishwashing area
- Removes soiled linens to pickup area and replaces with clean linens
- Maintains the cleanliness of all service areas in Front of House (floors, tables, chairs, windows)
- Stocks supplies in servers’ stations
- Keeps ice bins and buckets filled
- Cleans up spills, broken service ware, and attend to similar problems with minimal disruption to diners
- Collects trash from dining room, grill, and other specified areas after each serving period
- Dusts chairs before and after meals
- Takes packages for takeout orders to reception are for member pick up
- Folds napkins and bread basket linens
- Assists manager and employees in assuring that the club’s policies and procedures for serving alcoholic beverages are consistently followed
- Polishes silver service
- Moves tables and chairs as needed for the next diners
- Helps to maintain a fully stocked buffet
- Provides bar back services during peak bar hours
- Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position. However, a confident and mature high school student may also succeed in this role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Bussers should have good communication skills, with the ability to converse and understand MCOA members and staff with fluency.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Minimal computer skills are required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Minimal mathematical skills are required.
REASONING ABILITY
Bussers should have the ability to solve problems with minimal assistance.

None required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Bussers must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, and crouch. They also must be able to carry lift and fifty pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position involves a moderate amount of stress and may require ten-hour shifts.
