Job Overview
The role of the Tank Cleaning Operative is, working within our field operations team, to
operate and maintain our specialized robotics systems and undertake confined space
jetting on client sites. Operatives play a crucial part in ensuring the operation of our
patented robotic tank cleaning equipment, anticipating and resolving potential issues to
maintain safety and efficiency throughout each project. Extensive in-house training is
provided in robot operation and maintenance before deployment to operational sites.

Essentials
- Must travel to various sites across the US and potentially internationally (UK/EUR)
- Must be off the mind set to cope with living away from home
- Must be able to work as part of a team comprising off multiple personalities
- Must be prepared to workday and night shift rotation – subject to client needs
- Ability to work outdoors in all elements during all seasons.
- Ability to work in confined spaces, in extreme temperature environments at high
- Availability to work a variety of shifts when needed including nights, weekends and
- Physical requirements of the job including climbing ladders and stairs, entering

- RPE & client site rules require individuals to be clean shaven whilst on site.
- Successfully complete regular drug testing, pre-employment physical/medical
Duties
- Set up the cleaning systems, including positioning, laying out hosing, connecting
and moving the robot into tanks for cleaning.
- Individual will perform all aspects of cleaning work including prepare/check
- Conduct confined space entry cleaning, often using breathing apparatus, in line
- Operate high pressure jetting to perform tank clean
- Utilize different types of equipment during the tank cleaning process may
pumps and high-pressure washer.
- Must be capable of setting up equipment, including lifting and carrying hoses that
- Operate plant on site such as telescopic forklifts.
- Safely handle and manage manual equipment, including pipework, lifting
- Light maintenance and servicing of equipment with training provided.
- Robot Driving - Operate the ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) maximizing
- Maintaining the interaction between the ROV and vacuum tanker operator.
- Perform other duties as required and directed by management
- Identify areas for improvement in robot performance to deliver higher productivity
- Valid Drivers License including Trailer
- Confined Space Entry
- Fit Test and wear respirator with no limitations
- Pass Drugs Screen, physical and Background checks
- High pressure jetting
- TWIC Card (desirable) US only
- Confined Space Rescue/topman trained (desirable)
- First Aid
- Competent in English both written, reading and verbal.
- Customer facing role – polite and respectful to on-site client teams
- Ability to follow instructions from team leaders while also working independently
- Excellent time management and punctuality.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines, especially when working in high-risk, confined
- Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and
- Ensure compliance with all rules and regulations in oil storage facilities, including
- Follow environmental protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper
- Utilize proper PPE while cleaning.
