Pest Control Technician

Duties

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential, commercial, and outdoor areas to identify pest activity and entry points.
• Safely handle and apply pesticides, chemical agents, and pest control solutions following all safety protocols and pesticide management regulations.
• Use ladders, hand tools, power tools, and farm machinery to access hard-to-reach areas and perform pest treatments efficiently.
• Implement integrated pest management techniques by assessing pest behavior, environmental conditions, and applying targeted solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, treatment details, and client interactions while ensuring compliance with pesticide application knowledge standards.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly for transportation to job sites, adhering to ladder safety procedures and driving safety guidelines.
• Educate clients on pest prevention methods, including landscaping practices, lawn care tips, and general property maintenance to reduce future infestations.

Experience

• Prior outdoor work experience in pest control, lawn care, farming, landscaping, or agriculture is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with familiarity in using hand tools, power tools, or other equipment relevant to pest control tasks.
• Knowledge of pesticide application procedures, chemical agent handling, respiratory protection equipment use, and confined space entry safety procedures.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about treatment plans and safety measures.
• Experience in entomology or related biological sciences is a plus for understanding pest behaviors and implementing effective control strategies.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for operating company vehicles safely across diverse outdoor environments.
• Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while working outdoors in varying weather conditions; outdoor work experience is preferred.
