Winter Legal Internship – Moskowitz Legal Group
Location: Hewlett, NY
Duration: December 15, 2025 – January 20, 2026 (flexible 2–4 week participation)
About the Internship
Moskowitz Legal Group (MLG), a law firm focusing on long-term-care collections, Medicaid planning, guardianships, and estate matters, is seeking motivated interns for our Winter Legal Internship Program. This short-term internship is designed to provide meaningful exposure to real legal work during the winter academic break.
This is an unpaid internship intended to offer hands-on learning, skills development, and potential consideration for extended or full-time employment.
Key Responsibilities
Interns will support attorneys and senior staff with tasks including, but not limited to:
- Assisting with Medicaid applications, guardianship preparation, and estate-related matters
- Drafting legal correspondence, summaries, notices, and internal memoranda
- Reviewing billing records, facility documents, and case materials
- Conducting preliminary legal and factual research
- Supporting case organization and file management
- Attending meetings and learning directly from case managers working on active matters

- 10–40 hours per week, depending on availability
Compensation
This is an unpaid educational internship. Exceptional interns may be considered for extended internships or full/part-time positions.
