Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain floor care by buffing, polishing, and applying protective coatings to extend the lifespan of flooring materials
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects and specialized tasks like carpet cleaning or window washing as needed
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs, equipment upkeep, and reporting larger issues to management
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for staff and visitors
- Keep detailed logs of cleaning schedules and tasks completed to ensure accountability and consistency
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, including floor care, buffing, and industrial cleaning methods
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, vacuums, and floor scrubbers effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders when necessary
