Position Summary
The Moshannon Valley YMCA is seeking a Gymnastics Instructor to lead and support designated gymnastics programs. This role focuses on creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment where youth can learn skills, build confidence, and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming and encouraging environment for participants
- Support students in meeting class goals and skill development
- Promote safety and take necessary precautions to prevent injuries
- Follow and enforce all YMCA policies, rules, and procedures
- Encourage positive behavior from participants and parents; communicate concerns to leadership as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and ensure proper storage of equipment after classes
- Communicate children’s progress with parents regularly
- Take attendance and ensure all participants are properly registered
Qualifications
- Enthusiasm and a genuine interest in working with youth
- Experience with basic gymnastics and/or tumbling instruction
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to provide a high-quality and positive program experience
