We support clients across the five boroughs with reliable HVAC solutions—from repairs and replacements to full system installs.
Position Summary
We’re hiring a Mechanical Estimator to support our continued growth. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate HVAC estimates and proposals, reviewing plans/specs, and coordinating with our operations team to ensure a smooth transition from bid to execution.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform HVAC/mechanical takeoffs from drawings and bid
documents• Review plans, specifications, addenda, and scope requirements
• Build detailed estimates including labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and permits as needed
• Request and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes; ensure coverage and correct scope
• Identify risks, clarifications, and exclusions; prepare RFIs when necessary
• Prepare and submit proposals/bid packages in a clear, professional format
• Work closely with project managers to support handoff, budgeting, and project planning
• Maintain organized estimate files and proposal templates
Qualifications
• Experience estimating HVAC/mechanical work (commercial and/or residential)
preferred• Ability to read mechanical drawings, schedules, and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet bid deadlines
• Proficiency with Excel and estimating/takeoff software (or willingness to learn)
• Great communication skills with vendors, GC’s, and internal teams
• NYC experience is a plus (codes, typical building systems, permitting familiarity)
