In this role, they must provide the highest level of customer service, actively working to help the patient in a warm, helpful, and empathetic manner. The Pharmacy Assistant is also accountable for important administrative, cashiering, and clerical functions to support the pharmacy team, optimize patients visit quality, and keep patient records accurate and current.
Responsibilities
- Accurately rings out patients ensuring counseling called for when appropriate.
- Consistently maintains patient data base (e.g. address, phone, etc.)
- Perform schedule maintenance (e.g., will call list, outdates, etc.)
- Perform rebilling process (e.g., insurance etc.)
- Maintain will call area clean, neat, and organized to ensure efficient customer service.
- Efficiently inputs refills for patients.
- Accurately maintains register and cash box amounts.
- Provides excellent service, information and support to patients and colleagues on the phone and in person.
- Verbally bi-lingual in English, Spanish, and/or Russian is required.
- Must have obtained Pharmacy Assistant licensure with the State of Washington.
- Must have obtained Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Must have reliable transportation and provide documentation of auto insurance and valid driver's license as required.
- Travel between work sites is required as needed.
