Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli foods according to established recipes and safety standards, including slicing meats, cheeses, and preparing salads or sandwiches.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Assist customers with their food orders, offering recommendations and upselling products to enhance their experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the workspace, including food prep areas, equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage cash register operations, process cash and card transactions, and handle cash handling responsibilities responsibly.
- Restock deli shelves with fresh products, ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, and monitor inventory levels.
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to sanitation standards, proper food handling techniques, and safety protocols during all food preparation activities.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation within quick service or fast-food restaurant environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for retail sales transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and upsell products confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean workspace.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy periods seamlessly.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing inventory counts.
