Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop, test, and support firmware for PCB-based electronic products. This role works closely with hardware, mechanical, manufacturing, and product teams throughout the full product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Develop embedded firmware using C and C
- Support DSPs, microcontrollers, FPGAs, audio codecs, sensors, displays, and other peripherals
- Integrate USB HID/FTDI, SPI, I2C, UART, I2S, and Li-Ion battery systems
- Read schematics and datasheets and troubleshoot hardware-to-firmware interfaces
- Lead firmware activities for assigned products and coordinate with cross-functional teams
- Develop firmware specifications, test procedures, and production documentation
- Perform firmware verification, validation, debugging, and root-cause analysis
- Support hardware bring-up, prototypes, product compliance, manufacturing, and production launch
- Define test methods, tuning procedures, and production test fixtures
- Improve firmware development, source control, automated builds, and engineering processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5 years of embedded firmware and electronic product-development experience
- Strong C/C programming skills
- Experience with DSPs, microcontrollers, FPGAs, or audio codecs
- Experience with PCB-based hardware and embedded communication interfaces
- Ability to read schematics, interpret datasheets, and troubleshoot electronic systems
- Experience with firmware testing, validation, production support, and technical documentation
- Working knowledge of version control systems
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and within a small cross-functional team
Qualifications:
- DSP-based audio processing or I2S experience
- Low-power or battery-powered embedded systems
- RF or wireless communication products
- Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio
- Automated build scripts or batch files
- TCP/IP or connected embedded products
- FPGA or programmable-fabric specifications
- FCC, UL, European, or other product-compliance testing
- Experience with consumer electronics, communications equipment, automotive electronics, industrial products, or similar embedded systems
This is a hands-on embedded firmware position, not an application-software or purely managerial role. The engineer should be comfortable writing code, debugging hardware interfaces, supporting lab testing, and helping move products into production.
