Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics or science or ELA and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Teach mathematics or science or ELA concepts
- Utilize research-based instructional strategies to enhance student understanding.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and projects; provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with students and parents regarding academic performance and areas for improvement.
- Participate in academic advising to guide students in their educational paths.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school initiatives.
- Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and inquiry.
- Stay current with developments in mathematics or science or ELA education and integrate relevant research into teaching practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Oklahoma Teaching certificate preferred
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:
- Capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Sitting, standing, running and other strenuous physical activity
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Frequent districtwide and statewide travel
- Frequent prolonged and irregular hours
· May involve exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud
