8 hours/day, 12-month position

JOB DESCRIPTION
Process the purchases of the district in accordance with established purchasing procedures. Duties include but are not limited to: performing accounting duties in purchasing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; maintaining accurate documentation and fiscal information; serving as a liaison between the business office and district staff, vendors and others who may provide services to the district; other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent with additional training or experience in accounting principles and practices.
2. Computer skills in the following areas: accounting software applications, word processing, and spreadsheet applications.
3. Verbal and writing skills essential to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and the public.
4. Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports, understand and carry out oral and written instructions, adjust to flexible work assignments, work cooperatively with others, perform a variety of tasks/work projects, work accurately with attention to detail with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and schedules, and perform tasks in an environment with distractions and interruptions.
