What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fleet Mechanic position at Mosby Building Arts?
Reports To: Fleet Supervisor
Job Purpose: Support the MBA team by performing regular maintenance and repairs to all company vehicles & equipment as requested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance for vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Repair mechanical issues with vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
- Inspect all vehicles for cleanliness and mileage monthly.
- Keep records on maintenance of all vehicles.
- Keep the shop clean and organized
- Perform building maintenance tasks as requested by supervisor
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, cheerfulness and adherence to safety procedures
- Other miscellaneous tasks as requested by supervisor
Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of mechanical experience (should include all types)
- High-school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to pull trailers safely
- Tow Truck experience a plus
- Perform duties in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills
- Independent self-starter with strong time management skills
- Ability to stand, walk, work with your hands, climb ladders, and move 50 lbs independently for extended periods of time.
- Ability to obtain and maintain class E driver’s license, and reliable form of transportation.
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT physical
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Supply your own tools.
