POSITION SUMMARY
The Mechanical Engineer will take a design from a conceptual stage to a completion stage while considering budgeting and operational constraints. When given a task/design, the individual should be able to research, design, develop, test, make necessary changes, and produce a mechanical solution that meets customer requirements while fitting within the time and budget constraints. The Mechanical Engineer is a critical team member of the project team and should be willing to learn, teach, and assist others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports
· Plan, conceptualize and create mechanical designs for new products
· Perform engineering calculations to support design work
· Take ownership of and oversee the development of a project from start to finish in collaboration with the project manager.
· Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, and work with vendors and contractors
· Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions
· Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design, performance specifications, or environmental regulations
· Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
· Assist drafters with the creation and review of drawing sets
· Support team members with the development of installation and shipping drawings
· Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems
· Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a professional office environment located within a Manufacturing Facility. This role routinely uses computers, photocopiers, and both cell and landline phones. Frequent contact with staff, vendors, and community members is to be expected.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field
· Good communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational skills.
· Outstanding organization and time management skills
· MS Office suite skills, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint
· Ability to assess problems and propose creative solutions
· An organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive person looking for a role where they can learn from Mosaix Mechanical’s leadership team.

· This is an on-site position and the role requires daily, in-person client interaction and candidates must reside within a 60-minute commute to our Burley, Idaho location. We are not offering relocation assistance for this role at this time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· License as a Professional Engineer (PE)
· Advanced MS Office suite skills, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, OneNote, and SharePoint
· Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Etc.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL & MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
· Must be able to move throughout the facility, frequently transporting files and other items weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Written and spoken communication skills require speaking, hearing, and seeing.
· Critical thinking and sound judgment must follow SFW’s legal and safety process.
