Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on, and energetic Facilities Assistant to help keep our facility organized, clean, functional, and running smoothly. In this role, you will handle a wide variety of day-to-day tasks ranging from basic assembling and light repairs to inventory organization and general upkeep.

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Assemble, install, or move office furniture, shelving, desks, and equipment.
- Perform basic fix-it tasks and light maintenance (e.g., hanging whiteboards/decor, minor drywall touch-ups, changing light bulbs).
- Assist with small construction or repair projects around the building.
Facility Organization & Space Setup:
- Organize storage rooms, supply closets, workspaces, and inventory areas.
- Set up and tear down furniture and equipment for meetings, events, or specialized operational needs.
- Help move boxes, heavy items, or deliveries throughout the facility.
Cleaning & Upkeep Support:
- Support keeping common areas, workshops, and high-traffic zones tidy.
- Handle immediate cleanups, spill responses, or waste disposal (sweeping, taking out trash/recycling, breaking down cardboard).
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify clutter, safety hazards, or areas needing repair.
General Support:
- Assist the facilities/operations team with vendor deliveries or contractor visits as needed.
- Run occasional errands for facility supplies or local hardware store pickups.
- Ensure all safety guidelines are followed while using tools and working on tasks.
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1-4 years of general maintenance, handyman, warehouse, or facility support experience is a plus.
Handy Skills:
- Proficient in using hand tools and basic power tools (drills, saws, levelers, screwdrivers, etc.).
- Ability to follow assembly instructions accurately and efficiently.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, pull, and push heavy objects (up to 50 lbs regularly).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and reach for extended periods.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive "no task is too small" mindset.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Possession of a valid forklift license is a plus.
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
