This role is responsible for performing engineering design calculations and preparing detailed engineering documentation to support manufacturing operations.
The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams and external customers to deliver high-quality, comprehensive designs that result in high-performing products. The position offers opportunities to expand beyond traditional engineering responsibilities, including exposure to production, automation, and business development activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 4 years of relevant engineering experience
- Prior experience in project engineering or design engineering
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Manufacturing and fabrication, Welding and joining processes, Structural analysis, Mechanical design, Testing and validation, Field support, Specification preparation, Process improvement initiatives
- Hands-on experience designing with: Steel, Non-ferrous materials, Composites, Plastics
- Exposure to design for automation and manufacturability
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform engineering calculations
- Proficiency with engineering documentation and design tools (CAD, analysis software preferred)
- Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Creative and innovative mindset with a willingness to think beyond conventional solutions
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn across disciplines
