- Pay: Starting at: $15.38 / hour (day shift); $16.88 (evening shift); $17.38 (night shift)
- Prepares food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and may be directed by the Production Coordinator, and/or Director of Nutritional Services to assure that quality food service is provided at all times. Under the supervision of the Production Coordinator, is responsible for hot food preparation, food waste and proper HACCP procedures. (Maryville specific summary)
- This position works under the supervision of the Manager, Lead, or Resource and is employed by Mosaic Health System.
- Communicates appropriately, speaks respectfully at all times with patients, families, visitors, and all other caregivers, addressing them by name and responding to needs or requests for assistance promptly and courteously
- Prepares food for patients, special functions, and cafeteria using standardized recipes in the amount specified by production sheets; utilizing food and plate presentation as instructed.
- Processes all foods and operates equipment according to sanitation and safety regulations.
- Inventories and utilizes in a timely manner any perishable and over produced food items.
- Maintains a clean work area and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Food production experience is required. 1 Year of previous institutional dietary food service preferred.
