The Opportunity

Mosaic Insurance is seeking a high-performing Analyst to support financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis across the business. This role will build and maintain sophisticated financial models, conduct valuation and scenario analysis, and partner closely with finance leadership to inform senior-level decision-making. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong early-career professional with an investment banking, corporate finance, or financial services background looking to apply rigorous modeling skills in a fast-growing, data-driven insurance environment.

Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Analysis

• Build, maintain, and stress-test complex three-statement and scenario-based financial models to evaluate business performance, strategic initiatives, and capital allocation decisions
• Assist in annual budgeting and quarterly reforecast processes, including bottoms-up model construction and driver-based assumptions
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario planning, and variance analysis vs. plan and prior periods, isolating and explaining key drivers
• Support valuation work and financial analysis for strategic projects, including M&A, capital structure, and business case evaluation

Management Reporting & Presentation

• Produce high-quality, board and executive-ready reporting packs and dashboards
• Build and automate reporting workflows using Excel and PowerPoint, with a bias toward clean, IB-caliber presentation standards
• Translate complex financial analysis into clear, defensible narratives and recommendations for senior leadership

Data & Systems

• Develop and maintain robust, auditable models and reporting tools using Excel and technologies
• Support improvements in data quality, structure, and reporting efficiency
• Leverage AI and emerging tools to enhance modeling, analysis, and productivity

Skills, Experience and Education  

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field
• Up to 2–3 years of relevant experience in:
  • Investment Banking (M&A, capital markets, or coverage)
  • Transaction Advisory / Valuation
  • Corporate Finance / FP&A
  • Insurance or Financial Services
• Advanced financial modeling skills: three-statement modeling, forecasting, scenario and sensitivity analysis, valuation techniques (DCF, comparables, precedent transactions where applicable)
• Ability to build, structure, and maintain complex models from scratch with precision, clarity, and discipline
• Strong grasp of financial statement mechanics and how operational drivers flow through to results
• Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, sensitivity toggles, model auditing)
• Strong PowerPoint skills for executive- and board-level presentations
• Familiarity with data tools (e.g., Power BI, SQL) is advantageous
• Practical experience using AI tools to enhance modeling, analysis, and reporting workflows
• Rigorous attention to detail with a structured, logical, and skeptical approach to analysis
• Ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations
• Confident communicator able to defend analysis and engage with senior stakeholders
• Highly motivated, intellectually curious, and proactive
• Strong work ethic with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressure
• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

The base salary offered for the successful candidate will be based on compensable factors such as job-relevant education, job-relevant experience, training, licensure, demonstrated competencies, geographic location, and other factors. The salary this position is $95,000 - $125,000.
